I’ve always been attracted to abstraction and always found it challenging. One night, many years ago, I was sitting in a car parked on a Sydney street, when it started to rain. I watched the street scape in front of me become more and more interesting, as rain fell on the window. The weather was abstracting the cityscape. I’ve been using that ‘Representational’ abstraction ever since, sometimes producing my own rain.
